Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at age of 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her amateur debut at age 18 in WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was on a stunning 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent right in the first round. Then she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her record for amateur. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record up to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in the year 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via first-round TKO. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd did not have enough weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. As for her final fight for this promotion, Ladd fought Sijara Eubanks via an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina through her ground and pound tactics and earned the TKO 2nd round win. She continued to dominate and scored a more impressive win when she fought Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the opening round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first fight she's ever had in any significant way. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and end Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in the third at UFC 7.7 on ESPN. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
